Neurodivergent career coaching
Support for neurodivergent professionals at a crossroads. Coaching for when you're ready to explore how work could feel more meaningful, more manageable and more 'you'.
Career coaching is a big part of my practice, working with neurodivergent people who want to be more fulfilled at work or who want support navigating a career transition. We focus together on the practical and emotional sides of your working life, with your neurodivergent traits and experiences at the core of the process.
Why neurodivergent career coaching?
When work fits, it can bring real purpose, joy, and connection. You're less stressed, you like the people you work with, and you're doing the things you're really good at.
But when it doesn’t - when you’re performing, surviving, or dissociating just to get through the day - it can erode your sense of self. I did that for years, and I didn't know why it was so much harder for me than it seemed to be for my colleagues.
You might feel stuck in a role or identity you’ve long outgrown. You might be quietly daydreaming about something different, but not yet giving yourself permission to explore it.
Some people come to coaching in the midst of a transition that didn't feel like a choice at all. This could be burnout, redundancy, the impact of a new diagnosis, or an inner knowing of ‘I just can’t do this any more’.
Whatever your situation, neurodivergence-focused career coaching helps you find your footing, and get on a path that you're really proud of.

What we work on in neurodivergent career coaching, and how it helps
Coaching supports you to build a new sense of self around work. To explore decisions and find clarity - without adding pressure to make big moves before you're ready.
We look at your priorities and goals through a neurodivergent lens, whether your focus is the day-to-day of your current job, or a plan to do something completely new.
We come up with ideas, plans and experiments, supporting you to build your confidence whilst figuring out the best way forward.
your neurodivergence at work
Clarifying your neurodivergent traits and how they impact you at work. Understanding your strengths and problem-solving challenges.
masking and unmasking
Exploring how and when you are masking, and how it's impacting you. Looking at the risks and benefits of unmasking, and what this means to you.
disclosure and adjustments
Deciding whether to tell people at work (or at future work places) about your neurodivergence. Figuring out what you need and how to ask for it.
stress, energy and balance
Finding new ways to manage your workload, your time and your priorities. Reducing stress and making more space for the things you enjoy.
working better together
Improving your working relationships with managers, colleagues and teams. Taking a neuroaffirming approach to effective collaboration and communication.
making a move
Working towards a promotion, a pivot or a new role. Deciding what you're aiming for, and preparing for applications and interviews so you go in feeling confident and ready.
Work doesn't have to be just a job title or salary band. It can be a form of self-expression; a place where our inner world meets the outer one.
For neurodivergent people, this meeting point can be messy. It can take some extra figuring out to get it right.
Some of my beliefs about work
You’re allowed to want more, even if your job “looks fine on paper”.
Burnout or confusion doesn’t mean you failed, it means something in the system isn’t working for you.
If your career has been boring or chaotic you don't have to blame yourself (and it's not too late to change it).

Why I specialise in neurodivergent career coaching
Supporting you across life, work and business. A specialised coaching approach grounded in lived experience.
Whilst I was doing interesting work during those years, it also burned me out. I got through work by masking, putting in extra hours, and pushing through chronic stress. Once I was diagnosed with autism, ADHD and dyspraxia, it all made a lot more sense. I certainly wouldn't want to re-run those years, but I'm glad I came away with so much hard-earned insight and knowledge.
I'm accredited to PCC level with the International Coaching Federation, and I'm an ADHD coach accredited with the Association for Coaching. I tailored my post-graduate certificate with the University of Chester to neurodiversity, and I've trained since in neuroscience-informed and trauma-informed approaches.

How neuroaffirming career coaching works
Coaching with me follows a clear structure, but it’s not rigid or linear. We roughly follow these stages within a session, and across the coaching progress as a whole - but we jump around them too as new insights and learning come in.
Between sessions, you’ll take actions that match your goals and capacity: sometimes small experiments, sometimes bigger steps than you thought were possible. We review what happened together so you can see what’s working, make adjustments and keep momentum.
Clarifying what you want
Setting goals can be a nightmare when you’re neurodivergent. You can’t decide, or it’s hard to believe you can actually get there because you’ve failed in the past. We take all of that into account and spend time finding out what you really want and how you can actually get there this time.
Understanding what’s been in the way
We look closely at what’s been holding you back or keeping you stuck; getting specific and realistic about the obstacles through the lens of neurodivergence. We also get clear on your neurodivergent traits and how they’re impacting you.
Creating new ways forward
During sessions we think together on your goals, and our conversations surface new insights and possibilities. Sometimes the focus is your inner world - shifting beliefs or perspectives, for example. At other times we’re designing practical steps towards your goals that feel sustainable and achievable.
Reviewing, adjusting and integrating
As you take action, we pay attention to your mind and body states. We celebrate progress, reflect on strengths, and anchor new beliefs about what’s possible. Transformation happens when we focus not just on what you got done, but on who you’re becoming in the process.

I was looking for a sense of direction - more happiness and a clear decision on where to take my work. The coaching made things so much clearer and changed my perspective on my life and my work. It's given me the confidence and self-belief to say and do what I believe with conviction, and shown me that there are no barriers to where I can take myself. I've stopped doubting myself and procrastinating too!

I have been lucky enough to have business coaching with Christina. I can honestly say that she is truly amazing and helped me see things differently, enabling me to overcome barriers in starting my business. Since working with Christina, my business has grown so much, and I wouldn't have reached this point without her assistance. I'm so grateful for Christina's support and would highly recommend.

Christina was very supportive during a time of big change in my business. With Christina's support to keep on track I launched my agency and made my first hire! She really helped me understand the role I was recruiting for, so I could interview with confidence. This coaching was invaluable for what could have been a very overwhelming part of my business journey and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Christina to others.

FAQs
Common questions people ask before we start working together.
Yes. Many people struggle to know what kind of adjustments would help them at work, or feel uncertain about communicating with their manager about it. We can work through this uncertainty, finding a way forward that you feel more clear and confident about.
Yes. I can support you to prepare for interviews and to consider the way you're going to approach a job application. It can be helpful to discuss this with your neurodivergence in mind, particularly when thinking about how you're going to prepare yourself for an interview or communicate about your needs.
I work with many clients on identifying their strengths and values, and working towards a career that will support them better. Coaching can help you understand yourself, strategise around a job search, and consider any adjustments or things you'll need to avoid future burnout.
This is something I work on with lots of clients, exploring what's at the root of the difficulties. We find ways to understand what's going on and create solutions so that you can feel more at ease at work. Those solutions very much depend on your situation, as for some people there are toxic workplace dynamics or bullying happening, which requires a really different approach than simply overcoming communication challenges for example.
The focus in coaching is on uncovering your own insights and ideas, because this is the real confidence-builder and the result that you keep hold of beyond the coaching process. However, particularly in neurodiversity-focused coaching, it can be valuable for me to bring in the insights and understanding that I have about neurodivergence and neuroscience in ways that directly apply to you and your goals.
Many clients like to have things to do in between sessions, so we incorporate action-planning or design 'experiments' to do. I don't tell you what to do or decide for you how much time you spend on things between sessions - it's always collaborative and based on the time and energy you have available. I do often have suggestions and ideas for things to try, but many clients have lots to do already - it's just a case of organising and prioritising those things in new ways.
